This has been the best week since quarantine. A LOT has happened, I'm going to start from the beginning.
So last monday President Varner called me up and told me some info, he asked if I would be a ZL in Denham Springs (which is like the center of the mission where the mission home and mission office are) and I was appalled because I hadn't even been a DL for a week yet. But I accepted and he told me I would be working with the new Senior Couple, the Mckays a lot. I didnt know what that actually meant. So before he hung up he told me I'd have to call my new comp, Elder Niepraschk.
So when I called Niepraschk I told him what president just told me and he was like, "oh I didnt know i was getting a comp yet, you're going to be the Vehicle Coordinator with me, but you're also going to assist in Housing and the office," which is what all the senior couples did before they left. So I was like cool, I'll be there tomorrow morning and he was like cool. So ever since I got there we work at the office all day everyday fixing all the cars, getting the Bill's ready and sending packages, picking up cars and I even get to drive by myself and stuff, which is sick.
Also funny story, last night we got back to the apt and there was a raccoon by our door and since we are on the 2nd floor theres only 2 stairs up to our balcony so we told the other elders to run and trap the coon so they ran around and the coon ran away from me and my comp until it got too close to the other elders so it turned around and ran back at me and my companion then realized it had no where to go. So it turned to the railing, and went on the outside of the railing and just hung its self off the railing... so we go over and look at it just hanging on for dear life just looking up at us and all the sudden we just felt so bad for it but didnt know what to do. Then the raccoon just LET GO AND FELL LIKE 15 FEET. When it hit the ground we just heard bones crack and a loud THUD. And we instantly just all wanted to cry. We never meant for that to happen. When we looked down over the railing again the raccoon was just laying there with one of its legs pointing straight in the air. Like the most broken creature I had ever seen.
But miraculously the thing got up and walked away after about 3 minutes of just laying there. Best part is I have the video lol.
Okay spiritual thought. On Tuesday I was in a meeting with my mission president and he said something about Revelation that kinda made me sit back and think, he said something along the lines of, "Constant daily repentance is the KEY to Revelation." So I started thinking about that for a second, and it all made sense. Without us being WILLING to change, God won't give us life changing information! So I realized yeah I make my mistakes but I really feel like maybe I haven't been repenting daily, and I mean honest and TRUE repentance, the kind where you TRULY change for the better. So I realized that's the next step for me, so yall need to do the same. If you're expecting answers from God, what are you doing to deserve those answers? You wouldn't give critical advice if you knew the person wasnt going to change. GOD WONT GIVE REVELATION UNLESS HE KNOWS YOU WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Read the BOM and every story you'll see that before miraculous change they are forgiven of their sins. Because God knows they are truly repentant.
Anyways that it yall I'll see ya next week!
